Upper Egypt- 500 mile long strip of fertile soil along the Nile
Lower Egypt- Wide land of the Nile delta
Nile River- Empties into Mediterranean Sea
Narmer- United two lands in 3100 BC
Pharaoh- All powerful, worshipped as God
Maat- Goddess that represents balance and harmony
"maat"- Harmony and balance of the universe
Gods- Portrayed with animal heads or bodies
Ka- Egyptiab belief in afterlife
mummified bodies to preserve them
Hieroglypics- Earliest Egyptian writings formed in 3100 BCV
Papyrus- Thick paper like material Egyptians wrote hieroglyphics on
Sailboats- Constructed so they cold have transportation on the Nile
